Mechanical Engineers
Location: Stevenage
Start date: September 2009
Graduate Engineers are required to work in MBDA’s Mechanical Engineering Function. The Function is responsible for defining and proving mechanical design solutions on missiles and ground equipment for a range of national and international defence projects.
Structured training will include work placements in a variety of disciplines such as:
- Mechanical Design
- Structural Analysis
- Environmental Engineering & Test
- Materials & Processes
Training in the use of tools (such as Pro Engineer, Nastran, Patran and MS Office) will be provided as necessary, but previous experience would be advantageous.
Graduates are assigned a Mentor who is a Chartered Engineer and the training scheme is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, allowing graduates to follow the Institution’s Monitored Professional Development Scheme route to Membership.
Academic Background: Qualified to MEng degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
